Mitra was born and raised in a talented and gifted creative artistic family.  Early on in her childhood, she was influenced  by her family circle, who were accomplished and well known for their musical talent, calligraphy, and painting in their community.

Mitra spent her early adult life in Munich Germany where she was regular patron of the local museums and art enthusiast.  After moving to the USA in early 2011 she started to continue her formalized art and calligraphy lessons and developing her art and painting styles.  She has been exhibiting her artwork at various venues in the South Bay (California).

Mitra is recipient of many awards for her work.  On several occasions’ she has been selected artist of the month at Fine Art League of Cupertino where she has been active member since 2013.
